Deleting your LawnMow IT account
How to delete it, what goes with it, and the one thing that has to stay.
Last updated 11 September 2026
From inside the app
Three taps, and it is the same on the phone and on the web.
- Open Business.
- Scroll to the bottom, to Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, and confirm again.
It happens straight away. You are signed out, and signing back in with the same Google account gives you a new, empty account rather than the old one.
If you cannot get into the app
Email pettigrewlabllc@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete it. We will do it and write back to confirm, normally within a few days.
Deleting some of it, without deleting the account
You do not have to delete the whole account to get rid of one thing.
Inside the app you can delete a customer, a job (or a whole repeating series of them), a crew and its login, and any mileage entry. You delete each one from the screen it lives on, and it goes straight away.
Deleting a customer does not delete their old jobs, photos or invoices. Those stay until you delete them too, or ask us to.
Invoices and job photos have no delete button, because they are the record of work you did and money you were owed. If you want particular ones removed, email pettigrewlabllc@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and say which. We will delete them and write back, normally within a few days. Same for anything else you cannot find a button for.
What gets deleted
All of it, permanently, with no way for us to get it back:
- Your account and profile, and your ability to sign in
- Every customer, along with their addresses, phone numbers and emails
- Every job, schedule, route and note
- Every before and after photo
- Every invoice and payment record we hold
- Your mileage log
- Your crews and their logins
- Your business settings, service zones and message templates
Your customers' portal links stop working at the same moment, because there is nothing left behind them.
What stays, and why
Payment records at Stripe. If you ever paid us, or took a card payment through the app, Stripe keeps its own record of that transaction. We cannot delete it, and neither can you: it is a financial record and Stripe is required to hold it, generally for seven years. It sits with Stripe, not with us, and is covered by their own privacy policy.
Emails already sent. An invoice that has already gone to a customer is in that customer's inbox. Deleting your account does not reach into it.
Backups. Our infrastructure keeps routine backups for up to 30 days. Your data is gone from the live system immediately, and ages out of backups within that window.
Cancelling is not deleting
Worth saying plainly, because people mix these up. Cancelling your subscription stops the billing and leaves everything in place, so you can pick it back up next season. Deleting your account is the one that removes the data, and it does not come back.
If you only want to stop paying, cancel in Settings instead, or read the support page.
